Vineyard

It is astonishing to recall the hundreds of memories, challenges, and experiences that have happened to us over these brief two decades. As winemakers, we already consider it a miracle that we have survived in the challenging world of domestic viticulture and winemaking. Yet we have received much more than this.

In the first ten years, we experienced all the national recognition one could hope for. After twenty years, we were part of an internationally celebrated event.

To experience these milestones over the span of one, and now two generations, is profoundly touching for us and a significant affirmation.

These encouragements greatly help us believe that we are where we belong.

We understand that it is not just our task, but our duty to refine Egri wine with all our efforts and to showcase its uniqueness to the world to the best of our abilities.

Winemaking Philosophy

Drawing from traditions while meeting modern quality expectations, we aim to produce wines that express the uniqueness of our vineyards. We focus particularly on the traditional grape varieties of our wine region, such as Olaszrizling, Hárslevelű, Furmint, Kadarka, and Kékfrankos. We strive to understand our vineyards better and improve our grape production year after year, refining our winemaking process and adapting it to the specific needs of each grape variety while seeking to understand the essence of our earthly mission.

Wine quality is determined in the vineyard. We aspire to produce original wines by combining our existing viticultural and winemaking knowledge with classic methods.

I am confident that every "faithful" winemaker desires to create a product that brings significant recognition to the wine, the estate, and their professional standing. This desire drives, motivates, and inspires us. We want to prove that we are capable of creating true masterpieces, wines that provide unforgettable delights.

And when someone achieves this level of quality and maintains it consistently and unwaveringly over decades, their estate can rightly become a prestige estate, and their product an iconic wine, inspiring future generations of winemakers.

Winemakers

Dr. György Lőrincz

"György Lőrincz is one of those rare individuals liked by everyone, for he is a refined and kind person, living in harmony with his wife Andrea and their four children, and able to create harmony in his wines as well. His original, very fine, modern yet characteristically Eger wines (always with a beautiful acidity profile, clear, never overly jammy, often mineral and intense) are highly regarded by both consumers and professionals."
– Borigo Magazine 2010

György Lőrincz Jr.

"It is rare to meet someone in the winemaking profession as open, eager to learn, selfless, and dedicated as György Lőrincz Jr. He already knows a great deal, produces good wines, but his humility and respect for the profession prevent him from believing that he has arrived. Much water will flow down the Eger Creek before the world recognizes this, but I know—firmly know—that the time will come."
– Pál Kovács, Debreceni Borozó 2015
