The vineyard was most probably named after the hanga bush. This plant is very fond of barren, poor areas. The hanga is a plant of variable height (20-60 cm) with woody stems. Its leaves are small, fibrous, narrow, like pine needles. They are usually in whorls on the stem. Its tiny bell-shaped flowers are in shades of pink and purple, arranged in clusters or whorls at the end of the stem.

Complex, long-lasting, vineyard-selected Egri bikavér. On the nose, the black berry fruit is interspersed with a multitude of volcanic-ovary notes. Blackberries, blackcurrants, pine resin, saffron, chilli and chocolate are also present in the aromatics. Elegant, refined red wine.

Tasting note

Deep aromas of black fruits like plum and black cherry, with subtle oak spices. A complex and rich wine with tight acidity, polished tannins, and a long finish dominated by ripe black fruits and earthy minerality.
