The Eger Wine Region on the Global Stage – International Showcases in Spring 2026

The Eger Wine Region on the Global Stage – International Showcases in Spring 2026

Every bottle of wine tells a story—of its terroir, the people behind it, generations of knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to quality. For us, every international appearance is an opportunity to share that story with the world and to demonstrate the character, diversity and excellence of the Eger Wine Region.

During the first quarter of 2026, St. Andrea Winery proudly represented Hungary and Eger PDO wines at three prestigious international wine events.

Our journey began at Wine Paris, one of the world’s leading wine trade fairs, where we presented Egri Csillag and Egri Bikavér alongside other Hungarian wineries. Bringing together professionals, buyers and opinion leaders from more than 150 countries, the exhibition provided an outstanding platform to showcase the unique identity of the Eger Wine Region to the international wine community.

In early March, St. Andrea had the honour of being the only Hungarian winery invited to participate in Great Wines World Miami 2026, the exclusive tasting event organised by James Suckling and his team. With more than 200 selected wineries and over 5,500 wine professionals and enthusiasts in attendance, the event offered an exceptional opportunity to present the values of the Eger Wine Region while further strengthening our presence in the United States together with our American partners.

Later that month, we continued our international programme at ProWein Düsseldorf, one of the wine industry’s most influential trade fairs. Beyond presenting our wines, the exhibition provided valuable opportunities to deepen existing partnerships, establish new professional relationships and further raise the profile of Eger PDO wines on the global market.

These three events represented far more than individual exhibitions. Every tasting, conversation and new connection contributed to a shared mission: strengthening the international recognition of the Eger Wine Region and demonstrating that the authenticity of our terroir, our traditions and our commitment to excellence continue to resonate with wine professionals and consumers around the world. We remain dedicated to bringing the story of Eger to an ever-growing international audience, one glass at a time.
